TWNKLS is a Dutch augmented reality and computer vision pioneer. By combining technical expertise with a value-focused approach TWNKLS has been creating custom augmented reality tools since 2011. With a growing team of experienced specialists we are developing new image based recognition technologies that result in new forms of interaction, user experience and business concepts. To strengthen our team we are looking for a Unity3D / C# software developer.

Job description

In this position you will be writing the best code within international customer projects and high-end R&D projects. You create smooth interfaces, stunning content and marvelous gameplay. Our projects are on the edge of what is possible nowadays, and our R&D team is pushing today’s boundaries a bit further. We are a flat organization, which means you can voice your opinions and we expect you to speak up if you think something can be done in a better way.

Required skills and experience

> Experience with object oriented design and development, and the communication of such designs to team members
> Experience with the application of common software design patterns (Singleton, Observer, Factory etc.)
> At least two years of experience with Unity 3D and C#. You should be able to show us a number of successful Unity projects you have built and explain the challenges you faced and how you overcame them
> Working knowledge of real-time rendering on the GPU
> Working knowledge of 3D models and types of real-time 3D animation (splines and keyframes, bones, particle systems, physics etc.)
> Some familiarity with -and interest in- UI / UX best practices as they relate to mobile applications (things like the Card Stack model, scrollability indication, Responsive Disclosure, multitouch interaction etc.). > Have solid experience with the basic mathematics (vectors, small matrices) needed to develop a 3D application
> Experience with the development of non-desktop platforms (dealing with limited memory or processor power) e.g. smartphones, smartwatch, digital eyewear
> Proficient in English
> Good at communicating professionally both to a teammate as well as a client

Bonus skills

> Experience with OpenGL
> Experience with Unit testing and Continuous Integration- Experience with C++
> Experience with cross-platform native development
> Have worked in a SCRUM environment
> Experience with 3D modeling and animation (to make small assets for our projects and/or to understand how to use such assets in the Unity environment)
> Experience with developing apps for iOS or Android (with Unity, Mono or Java and Objective C)
> You enjoy designing algorithms and are able to communicate them clearly

Most of us are officially in their thirties, but yeah… you are as old/young as you feel. In our team we speak e.g. Turkish, Portuguese, Spanish, South-Afrikaans, Romanian and Dutch but to actually communicate with each other, English or C# is the business language. We work in an open office in which we also collect some famous game consoles from the past. Some of us really played the Atari 2600 when they were young.
